Abstract

The consequences and causes of magnesium deficiency in cardiovascular diseases are considered. The features of magnesium metabolism in atherosclerosis, arterial hypertension, and heart failure are described. The prospects of therapy with magnesium preparations in cardiology practice are discussed.
